Brusho Crystal Colour

I had so much fun playing with the new Crystal Colors (on page 26 of the Occasions catalog)! The colors are very intense, so you only need a small sprinkle of them. You can get such different effects with them and they can be used on different kinds of paper to get different effects. Here are the 3 cards I made with them for my Technique Club:

This first card uses Watercolor paper. I sprinkled yellow, red and blue crystals right onto the embossing folder, ran it through the Big Shot and then wet the paper with a spray bottle. Keep a paper towel handy to blot if necessary. Let dry. After dry, I used my white ink on a small ink spot and rubbed it over the raised flower image. This make the card really pop. The “Celebrate” framelit is one of the FREE choices from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.

This card was the easiest of the 3. I just took the Black and White Petal Passion DSP on page 25 of the Occasions catalog and sprinkled yellow, orange and red crystals before wetting the paper. Let dry.

This one is probably the most Artistic of the 3. No two will look the same! I embossed the butterfly in white on Shimmery White card stock and then wet the whole paper. I sprinkled (from top to bottom) green, blue, orange and yellow. Spray again until really wet and let the colors blend. Washi tape works well to tape your paper to a board so the edges don’t curl when you wet it. Just remember to leave your card stock larger,  so you can trim it down and cut off the edges where the tape was.

January Stamp camp projects

This first card is a Bridge card. This has been a popular fold the last few months and I made a Christmas one that turned out great too.

This card is called an “Eclipse” card. It’s hard to see the words “LOVE” in the picture, but in person it really pops out at you. This technique uses our large letters and you can spell out any short word – for example, Mom, Dad, Baby, or a short name.

This is the card I did for a Sale-a-Bration swap and it really turned out beautiful!! It is so soft and pretty.

I used a fun foldout heart for this card. Who doesn’t like a secret door revealing a special message.

All these cards are “Love” cards – which can be used not only for Valentines, but for Birthdays, weddings, anniversaries or even a Get well.

Stampin’Up! Thailand Trip

Many of you asked to see pictures, so for the next couple of days I will post some pictures from my Fantastic Trip to Thailand!

The first week we were on our own, and stayed at a beautiful resort, Serenity Resort and Residences, Phuket, on the quiet side of the island. We swam every day, it was so hot, but the water felt like bath water. The ocean was hotter than the pool.

We ate breakfast right next to the ocean every day. I could get used to this scenery!

A walk on the beach near the resort.

Tide was out. There are lots of islands right off shore.IMG_2238
